hi, i’m sues (the one with her eyes closed) if i’m not photographing i’m probably bird watching/ burning dinner, in the garden, at the thrift or gazing at the moon (sprinkle in a whole lot of mothering).
i’ve been obsessed with photography for as long as i can remember, from film to digital and back to film again. i love it all. what i don't love is being in front of the camera. this inspires me to shoot in a way that puts people at ease so that they can really enjoy the experience and focus less on the lens. think prompted documentary, wink.
My style is heavy on the beautifully imperfect moments-making the most of the in between ones-focusing on the connection and the feeling. someone might even be closing their eyes. its okay. things i’m currently inspired by: simplicity, vintage, neutrals, daisies, yellow, hard light, shadows, motion and blur.
